When we opened Pasta Pasta, one of the things we kept coming back to was this: Christchurch has plenty of great places to eat, but sometimes you just want lunch to be simple. Our Longest Lunch runs on weekends and public holidays, and it is exactly what it sounds like: a longer, slower, more generous lunch built around food, cocktails, and staying at the table for a while.

It is for birthdays, catch-ups, celebrations, overdue group chats, or any weekend where a quick lunch is absolutely not the point.

Three courses.
Five cocktails.
Three very relaxed hours.

It is lunch with the handbrake off.

Good value matters

We care a lot about value.

Not cheap for the sake of being cheap. Not cutting corners. Just the feeling that you can go out, eat well, have a good time, and not feel punished when the bill arrives.

That is especially important at lunch.
